In a huge legal victory for former president Trump, the Minnesota Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed an effort to prevent Donald Trump from appearing on the ballot in the state.
The court heard arguments last week after a group filed a petition to keep Trump from the ballot, citing Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. The plaintiffs argued Trump supported or incited an insurrection on January 6th to prevent Joe Biden from being sworn into office.
The lawsuit was a long shot to begin with.
A court in Colorado is currently deciding whether Trump will appear on its state ballot.
