I’m taking a Viking European river cruise right now, so as you’re reading this, I’m probably wandering through a German city in search of a Hefeweizen.
I’ll be here for three weeks. Easily the longest international trip I’ve taken.
And definitely the most expensive.
But as you know, this is what so many millionaires love to do. Spend money on experiences they’ll remember, not stuff that’ll find its way to the back of a closet or dumpster.
Want to follow along? I’ll be posting periodic updates to Twitter (I guess it’s “X” now?).
If not, no big deal.
This is the “bucket list” vacation a lot of people have on their list. Not everyone will be able to take it, but I firmly believe if you want it bad enough, you’ll make it happen.
And that goes for anything in life.
Vacations. Promotions. Becoming a millionaire. Almost anything.
About 90% of functioning adults who live in the industrialized world can be millionaires if they want it bad enough.
If I were to say that in front of a crowd of “normal” people, I’d be heckled and boo’ed off stage, wouldn’t I? I mean, come on! Some people just can’t build wealth, right? We aren’t all as lucky and privileged as those millionaires!
But because you’re one of the over 38,000 people subscribed to the Millionaire Habits newsletter, you know it’s true.
You know that becoming a millionaire in the industrialized world isn’t as difficult as it used to be.
To hell with the notion that becoming a millionaire is only for the lucky.
It’s a lie, and the people who believe the lie will never become millionaires. It’s a devastating self-fulfilling prophesy, isn’t it?
👉 Here’s the truth: Yes, there are some people who won’t become millionaires due to a disability or series of shitty events that can’t be overcome.
But the percentage of those people in the developed world is microscopic.
The percentage is so small that it wouldn’t even register on the Richter scale if it were an earthquake. Nothing but a minor tremor.
Becoming a millionaire isn’t quick, and that’s why most people aren’t one.
It takes multi-year discipline, including working your freaking ass off, saving and investing most of it, and saying no to the weekly bar runs and concert tickets.
The vast majority of “normal” people are unwilling to do what it takes to build wealth. Because it’s uncomfortable. It feels like a sacrifice.
Actual comment I’ve heard on Twitter: “I don’t want to become a millionaire!“
Bullshit.
Yes, you do. And that’s a very healthy desire. It means you can provide for your families with enough left over to never worry about money again.
But let’s be clear: Accumulating a million is an arbitrary number. It doesn’t need to be exactly $1,000,000. When we say “a millionaire”, we’re talking about having enough money where we feel comfortable.
For you, it could be more like $2 million. Or for others, maybe $750,000.
If we lose our jobs, big whoop. We can easily take a few months off, reevaluate our lives, and find another job (or not if we’re financially independent).
Are you willing to do what it takes to be a millionaire?
If the answer is yes, then there’s nothing in this world that will stop you.
Now, get after it!
